I just wanted to hear some piano.
I love piano and wish I pursued playing. I stumbled upon an NPR stream of Glenn Gould in the meantime.
NPR had a lot to say about Glenn Gould , an amazing pianist, so I transcribed some of what was said.
" The tension in Gould's virtuosity remains unresolved by virtue of their ecentricity. His performances make no attempt to engratiate themselves with his listeners or reduce the distance between their lonely ecstatic brilliance and the confusions of the everyday world."
When he is playing it is as if his 10 fingers live separate lives and the the music is playing the musician. I love that. Transcendance

Gould's goldberg variations center my thoughts and nerves. Probably because Gould played from his heart, not worrying if people liked it or if people would pay for it time and time again, playing as an artist.
